 This port town is best known as the gateway to the magnificent ruins of Ephesus, one of the best preserved Greek / Roman cities in Asia Minor. As you walk along the marble paving, you can almost hear the steps of marching Roman legions, or the ardent preaching of St. Paul addressing the Ephesians.
Visit this archaic treasure and perhaps also see the site of the home where the Virgin Mary is believed to have spent her last days. |
